The Cisco ASA managed firewall product provides the customer with an enterprise level security product to protect their servers and equipment. The product is fully managed leaving the customer with no configuration, management or update tasks on the firewall. The product is available for colo customers or for connectivity customers.

Firewall Features:

• Network address translation (NAT)
• Firewall has external IP address
• Servers have internal IP addresses
• Secure encrypted method of accessing your network behind the firewall Cisco VPN client is a free download
• Block and allow ports to specific servers
• Firewall has 1 network port. If the customer has more than 1 server they will need to have their servers plug into a switch and the switch will plug into the firewall.

How it works:

• Cisco ASA Firewall can be located in the following locations:
• In the customers rack (1U)
• Placed at the customer location attached to their DataPoint connectivity solution Site to Site connectivity
• Preliminary firewall rules are provided by the customer. These rules are applied by DataPoint.
• Anytime a customer needs a rule updated, added, deleted, or changed, they call DataPoint and we will have the modifications sent through within 4 hours.
• VPN is setup at customer request. Customer downloads the Cisco VPN client and uses that software to connect to the firewall through VPN
